One of the basic precepts of the Loyal Order of Moose is that "no institution that labors for self and self alone can remain great and mighty, and serve posterity."
The Women of the Moose confer to its members few honors. To be honored to receive the Green Cap of honor is quite an achievement within our fraternity. To receive from the Chapter a Green Cap of honor takes many years of dedication and hard work. So the Centreville Moose Lodge Chapter of Women of the Moose #1674 is proud to announce that one of its own has achieved such an honor. We would like to honor "Linda Kaye Hunter" with the Women of the Moose’s Green Cap of Honor.
To receive the Green Cap of Honor is no easy feat. To even be considered for this honor many achievements must be met. The honoree must successfully preside as the Chapter Senior Regent for one year. She must attend all required meetings by the Women of the Moose. She must enroll at least two new members into the chapter during her tenure. She must have also achieved the Academy of Friendship degree. The Academy of Friendship degree is similar to the Moose Legion degree of service.
To honor Linda, we invite all members to help in celebrating Linda’s achievement on Saturday, March 17, 2012. The Green Cap ceremony starts at 2:00pm. The Women of the Moose and Men of the Moose will be providing food and beverages after the ceremony. This ceremony is open to all Women of the Moose and Men of the Moose members. We hope to see you for this event.
