One of the basic precepts of the Loyal Order of Moose is that "no institution that labors for self and self alone can remain great and mighty, and serve posterity."
Many people move every few years or sometimes more often. The problem is when they move they need to notify us about their address change. It is not easy to remember to notify us when you move. In addition, sometimes it takes more than a single notification, because your request falls through the cracks. Yes, one could pay the post office service to forward their address, but this is a temporary solution.
This New Year will bring many changes. The postal service is changing their policies on bulk mail service. For this reason, we need you to make sure your address is up-to-date with the lodge and Moose International. Have you missed a newsletter recently? Have you seen a yellow tag on the newsletter? If the newsletter made it to you because of a forward situation, it costs the lodge more money. It is no longer considered bulk mail when it is forwarded to you. We need to contain spending coming into the New Year. We could really use your help in the saving money department.
We ask that you take a few moments to either send us an update through our contact us section of the website, check and update your address with Moose International’s site, or just leave us a card at the lodge in either the LOOM or WOTM’s boxes at the lodge with your new address. This little update will save the lodge money at a time when we need every cent. It will also help our community, because we will have more to work with when it comes to community donations. Thanks for all your help!
