Moose ElectiionsWe are about a month away from the convening of our yearly Loyal Order of Moose nominating committee.  The nominating committee will meet to discuss nominations for our elected offices.  These elected officers consist of the Governor, Junior Governor, Prelate, Treasurer, and Trustees.  If you are interested in becoming or joining the ranks of our elected members, please talk to any board member today so he can pass on the message to the nominating committee.

This is also the time to make a difference in the lodge in other ways too.  We are always in need of committee chairmen with new energy and an enthusiasm for our lodge.  You can become an appointed committee chair and channel your energy making our lodge even better.  Committee chairpersons have many responsibilities around the lodge.  If you might be interested in volunteering for any committee, please let the nominating committee know too.

Committees that need fulfilling by the next Governor at his first general meeting include:

Appointed Committee Members
Chair Chair Chair
Membership Community Affairs Sports
Building Historian Editor
Family Activities Community Service Government Relations
Fellowship Public Relations

Do you think you have some great ideas?  Do you think you have something to add to a committee or elected office?  Now is the time to let us know, we need your help in making the Centreville Moose Lodge even greater.  If you think you can do a better job than what we are doing now, we ask that you step up and take action.

Also, lets not forget the Women of the Moose who are going through the same elections this time a year.  If you are interested in joining the ranks of our elected women or Women of the Moose committees, please let them know of your interest.

If you think the fun just stops there, you’re wrong!  For all the appointed committee chairpersons, they will need to fill their committee’s with enthusiastic, excited, and able persons.  The minimum amount of persons on any committee is three.  Therefore, even if you are not appointed to your committee chair, you can still help.  Be on the look out for the name of the person appointed to the leadership in the coming year.  Talk to that person and ask to help.  We need your help to make us better.  Please don’t get discouraged if you’re not appointed.  We need everyone’s help if we are to do the best job possible.
