Due to a scheduling conflict in the back hall, the LOOM General Membership Meeting has been postponed one week. The meeting scheduled for May 17th, 2012 will now be held on May 24th, 2012 at 7pm. Please pass this information on to any members you know that does not have access to the internet.

Centreville's New Board of Oficers for 2012 - 2013

On Thursday, April 6, 2012, the Centreville Moose Lodge #2168 held its yearly Board of Officers’ election. There was a good turnout for this election. The election had few surprises. There were a few challengers for some of the incumbent board positions. Jack Staub ran against Steve Petty in the race for the Junior Governor position. After the vote, Steve retained his position with the board for another year. The current board of officers would like to thank Bob Starkweather for his years of service and dedication to this lodge. Bob decided to not run again this year for his trustee position. As a board member, he helped this lodge through some very tough times. His support will be missed. Running unopposed for the trustee position was John Jacobs. We continue to have a rock solid, mutually supportive and fiscally minded Board of Officers again going into the 2012 and 2013 year. The Board of Officers would like to thank all the members of the lodge for their continued support. We would like to also thank all members of our lodge that valiantly ran for an office this year. Without your support and others like you, this lodge would not be the great place it is today!

As contained in our by-laws of Moose International and the Supreme Lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Centreville Moose Lodge has appointed the Nominating Committee for the 2012 – 2013 election year. The Nominating Committee meeting dates will occur on the same dates as the General Meetings on Thursdays at 7:00 pm. Please see the calendar for General Meeting dates and times. If you are interested in running for an elected office, please make your intentions known by writing a message down and giving it to any member on the list below. We need enthusiastic business people on the board to help direct and lead the lodge in to the future. Do you think you have what it takes? Please consider running for an elected office. In addition, please make sure you come and vote for your candidate on April 5th!
We are going to have many Committee openings coming very soon. You may not want to run for an elected office. Would you like to help in some other capacity? We could really use your help. Please consider helping as a chairperson for some committee! All committees will need to be filled by the next Governor.
