"No Man Stands So Straight And Tall As When He Stoops To Lift Up A Child." James J. Davis Chairman of the Loyal Order of Moose War Relief Commission in 1918
We had near perfect work conditions for yesterdays Clean Fairfax "Adopt a Spot" road clean up. The weather was sunny. The temperature was in the low 60’s. It was picture perfect. We had a below average turn out to the event because of confusion over when the road clean up work would be done. We would like to thank everyone that came out to help. We would like to again thank Tom Hoover for donating his time, gas, tools, and the dump truck needed to make this possible. Our efforts made it possible to clean the whole road of trash and dig out the road’s curb from the lodge to the traffic light at Eaton Place on both sides. This effort was not an easy one. We filled the dump truck half full with trash, gravel, sand, dirt, and roots from this winter. We have already planned the next road clean up on June 12, 2010 at 9:00am. We look forward to seeing you there!
