One of the basic precepts of the Loyal Order of Moose is that "no institution that labors for self and self alone can remain great and mighty, and serve posterity."
Did you miss our Holiday Party? If you did, you missed the party of the year! It was open to Centreville Moose members and their qualified guests. We had a live band perform this year. Thanks to the East Vegas Band for playing into the night. Also, thanks to the East Vegas Band for not being upset for the typo on the band posters around the lodge stating the wrong band name (The Little Vegas Band).
We had some great food prepared by Tom Pavlik and Richard Cohen. The beef round and pork loin was cooked to perfection. The red potatoes cooked in olive oil and rosemary was fantastic! We received many positive comments on the food. We are glad you enjoyed everything! The evening was not without its hiccups. Thanks to the members that stepped up when we ran into problems in the kitchen. I want to thank Nancy Petty, Hannah Hoover, Tom Hoover, and all the others that chipped in when it was needed. It is because of your help the party went as well as it did!
Now, many of you stated that you wished we could have bands play at the lodge more often. We have heard your voices. We are going to try to do this again sometime next spring. We will be looking into putting together a committee to put the dance on the calendar. If you think you would like to chair this committee please let a board member know today!
Check the gallery in a few days for photos from the evening!
