"No Man Stands So Straight And Tall As When He Stoops To Lift Up A Child." James J. Davis Chairman of the Loyal Order of Moose War Relief Commission in 1918
We are having an Angel tree again this holiday season. And, again we need your help to make Christmas happen for some girls and boys in our local community.
There will be a tree in the social quarters during December with angels on it. All you need to do is come down, pick up an angle and buy a gift for the person whose information will be on that angel. You can bring the wrapped gift back to the social quarters and they will be delivered to the place that we will be supporting for this function.
We will be supporting the Lamb Center (a daytime drop in center serving the homeless in Fairfax City area in Fairfax County.) this year, let’s really show people what the Moose is all about. The Lamb Center is in need of Blankets, Deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste this time of year. The Childrens Center needs items for boys and girls between ages of infant to fifteen year of age.
So come down during December and pick up that name so that everyone can have a blessed Christmas. If you have any questions on this, please contact Linda Kaye at the lodge. Please try to bring your gifts by the lodge by December 21st, so we have time to deliver them!
